A few words with Mr Tall Black Guy . . .
FNS: You are clearly capable of kicking out a broad range of styles – so, when someone asks, how do you describe the kind of music do you make?
TBG: Well that is a great question. I would best describe my music as… I would make music for grown folks and women. A very positive vibe to it. If my mama can’t listen to it, then I probably shouldn’t put it out.
FNS: How long have you been working at Tempo Dreams?
TBG: The process of this album really only took me a month to put together. Probably the longest process was contacting the artist I wanted to be apart of this album.
FNS: Got a favorite moment from making the album?
TBG: The thing I really enjoyed the most about putting this album together is going through all the tracks and then putting them in a order that makes sense to the listener.
FNS: What’s next?
TBG: That’s for me to know and you to find out lol! You know I can’t giveaway trade secrets. . .
FNS: Everyone should own a copy of which album (Tempo Dreams aside (-;)?
TBG: Well the Colman Brothers entitled “Colman Brothers” is a dope album. Robert Glasper’s In My Element is really nice. Oh Gregory Porter’s – “Water” is a beautiful record.
