Acid Pauli, Atoms for Peace, Nosaj Thing, and Hey Rube! weigh-in with atmospheric electronics. Plus we’re delighted to present a special guest mix from talented Washington DC-based musician and producer Diggs Duke. A few words with Roger Robinson:
FNS: Your new single, Spaceship, has a Space Oddity vibe to it – are you a Major Tom, Bowie, or sci-fi fan?
RR: I’m a big Bowie fan but I’m also a sci-fi fan. I like the kind of sci-fi that has next to no special effects like the
early black and white Star Trek with William Shatner and My Favorite Martian.

FNS: What’s the rest of your new album like? And when is it due?
RR: The rest of the album is basically folk songwriting on electonic music with dubby bass with classical touches. HAHa it sounds funny when you say it, but that’s what it is. It’s due Aug 2013

FNS: Are you able to work on both your literary and music writing at the same time, or does one have to take back-seat to another?
RR: I think that one feeds the other, so I do them both. Literature helps my lyric writing, and music helps the rhythm
of my literature. I’m originally from Trinidad and writers were often musicians or painters. So I come from a long tradition of multi-disciplined artists.
